Chandlings delivers outstanding results and feeds top senior schools. Parents find it friendly and inclusive, 'children are happier than I've ever seen them.'

good schools guide

We welcome you to join us for our open mornings where you can see Chandlings in action.  The tours will of course be subject to covid restrictions but as so much of Chandlings learning can take place outside you will get a real flavour of what our school has to offer your daughter or son.

For the whole school open mornings, you will be toured around the school by our Year 6 students and at the end will have the opportunity to meet our Head and other senior members of staff.

During our early years open mornings your children will have lots of fun experiencing just what it's like to be in Chandlings nursery.  You might do some singing, craft making, story time in front of the fire or hunting in the nursery woodland.

We do hope you'll join us.  Just click on the 'Book Here' button and fill in the form.

Alternatively we can offer personal tours of the school, subject to Covid requirements, which can be booked via our admissions department

Have a little peak at our virtual tour which will give you a tour of the school and its grounds alongside short videos showing what goes on at Chandlings.

Previously at our whole school Open Morning which takes place every September some of things families have experienced are:

  • Riding on the Ponies
  • Visiting the French Cafe
  • Trying out the Low Ropes Course in the Bluebell Wood
  • Listening to stories from award-winning authors in the library
  • Having a go in the Nursery Gym
  • Trying out the laser cutter in the DT room and make a bag tag

Chandlings is only 5 miles from Oxford, just off the A34 between Abingdon and Boars Hill.

Please complete the enquiry form to attend our events or to arrange an individual visit.  Alternatively you can contact Mrs Francesca Gentili on 01865 730771 or by email
