England Rugby Stars train Year 6

It's not everyday that you meet top players from England's Rugby team and get to be coached by them as well.  However, that is exactly what some of our Year 6 girls and boys were lucky enough to experience on Tuesday 26 February.

Mr Brodley and Miss Wilkins took the children down to Oxford Rugby Club where Tom Curry, Billy Vunipola and George Ford were waiting to take them through their paces.  The children enjoyed a fun training session with the England players and definitely came away having learnt lots of new skills.  They also learnt from Billy Vunipola that the way to succeed is "to stick at it and work very hard."

If the day couldn't get any better, the children also appeared on the BBC South Oxford News and four children were interviewed.

It was an inspiring day for all the children and who knows maybe one of them might be putting on that white jersey in the future.

There are more fabulous photos of the day here and a clip of the BBC News below.
