Chandlings Pupils perform at the Edinburgh Fringe

Chandlings Prep students past and present will make their performance debut at the Edinburgh Fringe this August. Director Rebecca Vines (who teaches LAMDA at Chandlings) was awarded the Fellowship of the Royal Society of Arts in 2014 for her work in helping emerging actors to enhance their performance opportunities; and has cast nineteen young performers from across five different counties and six different schools to bring the haunting tale of LORD OF THE FLIES to life onstage.

Maya, Max, Rufus, Arran and Jaspar will play five of the schoolchildren marooned on a strange island when their plane crashes. William Golding’s haunting tale is one of the world’s best-loved and most terrifying novels, where pack mentality and loyalty collide as the stranded children - cut off from civilisation - desperately seek to impose order on the isolation of their new home. But their efforts result in a devastating loss of innocence... and life.

The production is playing at the Spaces venue in Edinburgh from August 22 – 27th, and if anyone would like to support the cast you follow Talking Shadows Theatre on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram.  For those who would like to see the show itself: tickets can be booked via the EdFringe website https://tickets.edfringe.com/whats-on/lord-of-the-flies
