Chandlings Prep Year 4 wins on U12 Golf Tour

Congratulations to Emile in Year 4 who has been playing in an U12 golf tour based around the Midlands gaining 2 wins with his latest at The Astbury in Cheshire.

Emile has been playing in the Robert Rock golf tour which is for aspiring young golfers with a handicap competing against their peers.  Although Emile is only 8 he wanted to play in the 18 hole competition hence competing in the U12 group.  He has now won twice playing against 65 other competitors and his handicap is now 28 which is a fantastic achievement at such a young age.

Greg Roostan, Professional at Frilford Heath and Golf Coach at Chandlings Prep said, “Emile’s golf in the last 12 month has been nothing short of exceptional. He was in the winning team alongside his Dad at the Frilford Heath Pro-Am and has won numerous times nationally on the Robert Rock Junior Golf Tour for his age group. Having achieved a handicap of 28 at his age is fantastic. I look forward to seeing Emile improve and represent Chandlings Prep School in the near future!

“Children can learn to play golf at Chandlings from the age of 4, as part of our activity programme, both on our driving range and on the 6 hole golf course.   It is fantastic to see how they progress and I would like to congratulate Emile on this excellent achievement,” said Mike Clarke, Head of Activities.
