Chandlings Prep Nursery links up with The Grove School in Nigeria

We are really excited to have linked up with The Grove School in Port-Harcourt, Nigeria.  The partnership has come about through one of our Nursery Key Workers, Mems Boham whose mother is Head of the school in Nigeria.

The schools are hoping to share ideas, create fun projects, and learn from one another.  The collaboration of ideas has already begun with Chandlings sending over the way they teach ‘the life cycle of a butterfly’ and The Grove school have sent back a little video showing the children learning.

The next project is for all the Nursery children to send a self-portrait introducing themselves as well as sharing a video of them singing an English nursery rhyme.

Jackie Capstick, Head of Nursery said, “It is fantastic for Chandlings Prep Nursery  to connect with Grove Primary and Nursery School in Nigeria! When schools join hands, amazing things happen. We can make new friends from across the world and learn about their exciting cultures, languages, and traditions.

Maria McAloon, Head of Pre-Prep added, “It is important at Chandlings Prep to show our children the diversity of the world, understand different perspectives and become more open-minded.  With this partnership we hope to make a positive impact on our communities and embark on a journey of friendship and learning.”
